James Townsend is a writer and musician from St. Albans, WV. He is the creator and host of  "Chasing Billy" and has contributed to publications like True West Magazine, The Coalition Press and The Tombstone Epitaph. With a special interest in the genealogy and Billy the Kid's early life, James uses his deep historical knowledge and storytelling skills to offer a fresh perspectives on the past.

​Josh Slatten is the Executive Director of  Billy the Kid’s Historical Coalition, where he channels his lifelong passion for Billy the Kid. A prolific researcher and author, Josh has written a bestselling children’s book about Billy the Kid and has contributed to numerous historical magazines, journals, and books.

Pierre A. Delacôte is a filmmaker and designer based in Shediac, New Brunswick. He is the Creative Director, editor, and designer for Chasing Billy and the Billy the Kid’s Historical Coalition. His debut feature documentary, Cocagne de l'Acadie, aired on ICI Radio-Canada. His shorts Jimmy (2014) and Le fils du Capitaine (2017) were selected for Telefilm Canada’s “Not Short on Talent” program at the Cannes Film Festival. delacote.ca

Artist & Social Media Manager

German-born Melanie Hubner first became interested in Billy the Kid about thirty years ago, after seeing the first Young Guns film. She does artistic work for Billy the Kid's Historical Coalition and Chasing Billy, and is also a social media manager for the Chasing Billy YouTube channel. In addition to the contributions she makes to preserving history, she is a caretaker for a number of horses, and enjoys spending time with them.
